BOBP'S WAVES OF ART AT FORT KOCHI: LIVE PAINTING BRINGS OCEAN AWARENESS TO THE COAST
Art met ocean awareness on 3 November 2026 as artists from Chennai and Kochi gathered for an inspiring one-day plein-air live painting event at the Fort Kochi fish landing centre. BOBP organized the event to raise awareness on ocean ecology and fisheries conservation.
Dr S Jayaraj, Publication Officer, BOBP-IGO said that the live painting session at the landing centre inspired the artists to capture the vivid realities of coastal life on canvas and helped make an emotional connection with a wider audience. The event was a prelude to the TREVOR-SAFARI Symposium held at ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute from 4 to 6 November 2026, where the artworks were exhibited.
