A two-day Regional Workshop on WTO Agreement on Fisheries Subsidy (AFS) was held in Chennai on 15-16 May 2025. The workshop brought together fisheries and trade officials from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Maldives, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and India to deliberate on the accession of WTO AFS and its implementation. The workshop was co-hosted by IISD, BOBP-IGO and Rise UP, and hosted by Department of Fisheries, Government of India.
