A National Workshop was held on 29 May 2025 in Kochi to align academic research with India’s marine fisheries resource assessment priorities. Twenty-two senior academicians from coastal fisheries colleges and universities participated in the Workshop, organized jointly by the BOBP-IGO, NFDB and ICAR-CMFRI with technical support from FAO. The workshop aimed at equipping academia with the latest stock assessment methodologies aligned with FIRMS standards and enhancing collaboration between fisheries research institutions and universities.
