BOBP-IGO Revisits 2008 Chittagong Resolution on Monitoring Control and Surveillance
The Second Regional Workshop on Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (RW-MCS:2) is being organized in Chennai from 3 – 4 October 2018. 35 participants representing Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Oman and Mauritius, including national and international experts, World Bank Mission members and representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations are attending the RW-MCS:2. The Regional Workshop, besides taking stock of the developments between 2008 and now, will also be chalking out an action plan for carrying forward the unfinished agenda of ‘Chittagong Resolution’ and the new requirements that have emerged, such as the Aichi Targets and Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 14 - Life Below Water.
