The Regional Training Course: Capacity Enhancement on International Fisheries Agreements, Treaties, and Convention organized under the Ocean Partnership Project started on 17th December. The Six-day training programme brought 18 participants from Bangladesh, India, Maldives, and Sri Lanka and international and national experts. The overarching objective of the Course is to “build the capacity of the middle-to senior fisheries management cadres in understanding, appreciating and implementing international agreements, especially in relation to shared and highly migratory stocks such as tunas.”
