SSF ACTORS AND CSO REPS FROM THE BAY MEET ON THE SIDELINES OF SSF SUMMIT

SSF actors and community organisations from BOBP-IGO member countries met on the sidelines of the final day (06 September 2026) of the 3rd World Small-Scale Fisheries Summit in Rome.

Dr. P. Krishnan, Director, BOBP-IGO, briefed participants on the progress of the National Plan of Action for Small-Scale Fisheries process and invited them to actively engage at the national level.

He highlighted the importance of a community-led approach to strengthening national initiatives for small-scale fisheries. Ms Angela Lentisco, FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Officer and the Task Team Leader of the BOBLME Project, was also present.
